My Favorite Part of Quilting

My Favorite Part About Quilting is When You Take A Piece of Fabric and Make it into Something Beautiful.

About Me

I started quilting about two years ago when my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. I needed something to help me through the sadness and anexity my mother's illness brought me. Once I started quilting I was totally hooked. Quilting has taught me how to be creative while helping me deal with life's ups and downs. I have met some amazing people on the way who have helped me develop my skills and open my heart to all life has to offer.

After the sudden death of my father at a very young age (54) I have become a different person. Above all I have learned that tomorrow is promised to no one so we should enjoy the people around us for as long as they are with us. That is my motivation for creating this blog, to celebrate my life and all the wonderful people who touch it everyday. I express myself through my quilts, it is a reflection of my life and each quilt has a piece of me. It has helped me to find fulfillment and happiness.

So, I live in Manorville, NY with my wonderful husband and our cat Samantha. When I am not quilting I am a high school Social Studies teacher on Long Island's south shore. My husband and I are looking forward to a wonderful life full of great family, friends, and little ones of our own.

To all my friends, old and new...Happy Quilting
