I learned this technique at the local quilt shop about a year ago. I have made so many since then. Samantha personally tests all quilts for quality control. This is the first one I made and I decided to keep it. It stays on my bed all the time and Sam enjoys napping on it daily. This is a favorite gift to give. I collect flannels thoughout the year and then create rag quilts for holidays. They are a favorite of my family and friends also
This is a table runner I made for my bestest best friend Vikki when she moved into her new place. She loves yellow so I tried to incorporate that into the design. Victoria and I have been best friends since childhood. She is actually marrying my husband's childhood best friend next October. I have been busy at work trying to make some more beautiful handmade items for her wedding shower. I want her to start out her new life with a few special pieces. She loves getting quilted gifts and we are looking forward to her wedding.
This is another item I made for Victoria. I also made one for myself. I learned this pattern quilting one day with my very talented quilting buddy Sheryl. She showed me step by step how to make this apron. This is a great hostess gift, people love it. I gave one of these to Victoria and she loves it so much that she fell alseep in it. I love making something for people that they really enjoy. I plan on making one of these for each season.
